The parade of names marches in the vanguard of our National Pride — battles and campaigns in the world’s greatest war, World War II. More than 60 years ago, many of America's finest fought some of the biggest battles of World War II at these sites, which would lead to victory and the end of World War II in the Pacific. The once-invincible heroes of that era are passing the torch to those of us who live on to keep their story alive. And, as for a personal ‘memorial’ of World War II Victory that each of us can bring to our families, a military weapon is the most appropriate, because it makes a powerful statement! And the sidearm carried by more men in all U.S. service branches was the classic Colt .45 pistol. Across every major front of World War II and in every theater of operations, the Colt .45 pistol was a reliable workhorse for our “boys” of 1941-1945.

A Steel ‘Insurance Policy’

As the most powerful military sidearm ever issued, along with its utter reliability, it was a favorite among our fighting men. In fact, many combat veterans, regardless of their primary weapon, carried the Colt .45 pistol, whenever they could get one — a steel ‘insurance policy’ in close combat.

Custom Gunsmithing

This is a firing museum-quality showpiece, custom finished for this important edition, with the following special features:

An ‘armorplate’ panel, reminiscent of the war machines of our Army, Air Corps, Navy and Marines, dominates the foliate-flanked presentation panel of the slide, which is mirror-polished, deeply etched and selectively 24-Karat Gold plated. The armorplate bears inscriptions and the immortal dates: “7 December 1941” (A Day in Infamy); “7 May 1945” (V-E Day) and “15 August, 1945” (V-J Day). This armorplate is flanked in traditional American gun scrolls, which are intertwined in a panoply of oak leaves, symbolizing America’s strength in war.
Nine components are plated with 24-Karat Gold to Jewelers Grade-Heavy thickness, for enhanced value and lasting beauty: the trigger, hammer, slide stop, magazine catch, safety lock, and four grip screws.
The bluing is the finest, using a custom, high-temperature, immersion process.
The custom grips are expensively deluxe finished to high gloss. Incised into the grips, within intricate scrollwork, is the wartime quote, “And Victory Will Be Ours!”
As a further tribute to American Victory, both grips bear a custom fired-enamel cloisonné inlay with the “V” (and its Morse Code symbol) for Victory plated in 24-Karat Gold.

Display Case

Also available is a custom made, luxuriously lined Display Case with locking glass lid and engraved identification plaque to display and protect your Tribute from dust and unauthorized handling.

Please charge my credit card a deposit of $195 per pistol. I will pay the balance prior to delivery at the rate of $100 per month, with no interest or carrying charge.
