Ever since the “Roaring ‘20’s” Police and Sheriffs Departments have relied on Thompsons to help them in the battle against crime. The American Historical Foundation is proud to announce The Police Model Law Enforcement Commemorative Thompson. A Sheriff/Deputy Model is also available. This is the first commemorative Thompson issued in honor of America’s Law Enforcement Officer. Also, this is the first commemorative Thompson ever issued with the classic pistol-grip vertical forestock, made famous in the ‘20’s on both sides of the law. Your finger rests beside the 24-Karat Gold plated trigger as you grasp the deluxe-finished American Walnut stocks and shoulder this beast of a weapon: 12 pounds of Steel, Gold and Walnut. The precision-milled steel receiver is mirror polished, emphasizing the deeply etched and gold-gilt infilled commemorative inscriptions, the U.S. flag and the famous Thompson “Bullet” trademark. You sight across the 24-Karat Gold plated rear sight base and the 24-Karat Gold plated knurled actuator knob, across the 35 deep-cooling fins and along the highly polished blued barrel to the 24-Karat Gold plated front sight and hefty Cutts compensator. Even the sling swivels and mounts are 24-Karat Gold plated. All the plating is to Jewelers Grade-Heavy thickness, for lasting beauty and value. The shoulder stock is fitted with fired-enamel cloisonné medallions bearing the Police Officer “shield” and the Scales of Justice. The pistol grip is also inset with a cloisonné medallion bearing the Police motto with patriotic device (the Sheriff’s Model is modified, on all counts, accordingly). Each is accompanied by its own deluxe-leather sling (brown for Police; brown for Sheriff).

Limited Edition of Only 1500

Only 1500 Police Commemoratives are being custom gunsmithed in this strictly limited edition by the official maker, Thompson/Auto-Ordinance Corporation. Each has a special Registry Number between 0001 and 1500, with the prefix “P” for Police. Each Sheriff/Deputy Thompson is numbered 0001 to 1500 with the prefix “S” for Sheriff. This is not just a showpiece. It is a firing Thompson. Because it fires in the semi-automatic mode, you do not need a special license. It uses the same famous .45 ACP ammo well known to lawmen, GI’s and American shooters. In addition to the Police Model, a Sheriff/Deputy Commemorative Thompson is also available to honor those who serve as Sheriffs and Deputies. This Law Enforcement Commemorative Thompson will hold a place of honor in your collection as a visible symbol to you, your family and friends of your respect for those who have dedicated their lives—and, possibly, your own service—to the preservation of our American society through Law Enforcement.
