Back in the Cold War ‘50’s, we had to carefully call it a “conflict.” Today, we call it the Korean War. We should: In just three years, nearly as many Americans answered the final roll call as in ten years of Vietnam.

To mark the 50th Anniversary of the Korean War, The American Historical Foundation is proud to honor those who served. This is the world’s first commemorative .45 ever issued to honor the Korean War.

Developed with the help of the Korean War Veterans Association, the object selected for this tribute, appropriately, is a firing, military sidearm correct to that war.

Each is custom finished and decorated in a strictly limited edition of only 500 worldwide. Each special .45 is engraved with its Limited Edition Registry Number between KW001 and KW500. A Certificate of Authenticity attesting to the edition limit, special Registry Number and the purity of the 24-Karat Gold plating accompanies your pistol.

This 2-1/2 pounds of steel, 24-Karat Gold and Walnut, custom-gunsmithed, museum-quality tribute, may well bring back memories of the service days of your youth—possibly in combat in Korea—or those experiences of a family member. The flats of the slide and receiver are beautifully mirror-polished to highlight the historical inscriptions, which are deeply etched in bas relief and gold-gilt infilled. These include the Korean War Service Medal, the years of the war, and our reason for fighting it: “In Defense of the Principles of the Free World.”

An abundance of 24-Karat Gold plating clearly distinguishes this as a special museum-quality firearm. The components include the hammer, trigger, slide stop, safety, magazine release, magazine release screw, and even the four grip screws. As your assurance of lasting value and beauty, this 24-Karat Gold is plated to Jewelers Grade-Heavy thickness.

Even the grips are custom—beautifully-figured American Walnut, deluxe finished to high gloss and fitted with a 24-Karat Gold plated, fired enamel cloisonné in each grip.

This is a battleworthy firearm custom built by Thompson/Auto Ordnance, the company founded by Brig. Gen. John T. Thompson.
