The Iron Cross P38 – Star to the Grand Cross Edition – “One of 25”

Thanks to the rare bringing together of gunsmiths, goldsmiths, gemologists, jewelers and wood finishers, The American Historical Foundation is now, briefly, able to bring you the opportunity to be the owner of one of history’s most spectacular firearms. It honors Germany’s most famous valorous military award – the Iron Cross (das Eiserne Kreuz). This symbol, a black Maltese Cross, dates back to the Teutonic Knights of the Third Crusade. The “P” stands for “pistole,” and the “38” stands for 1938, the year it was adopted by the German Army.

The Knight’s Cross Edition is based on the “Grand Cross” edition, but with a few changes.
World War II German firearms, even in field grade, have always been difficult to find in this country. This problem has become exacerbated over the years, as our sources in the Old World have dwindled; the quantities are few and the availability sporadic.
