Jefferson Davis Limited Edition Henry Repeating Rifle

The original Henry repeating rifle presented to President Abraham Lincoln is a priceless, national treasure in the permanent collection of the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. Shown here is the world's first firing reproduction of this famous rifle. This is available exclusively from The American Historical Foundation in a strictly limited edition of only 250, worldwide. A museum-quality reproduction, this is a custom-built, firing rifle. Outstanding features include full coverage of elaborate hand engraving across the presentation side, reverse and top of the frame. The same style engraving is hand cut across the buttplate, which is the rare, early-style, rounded type. True to the original (and a rare distinction), the entire frame, including the lifter/breech block, the bolt, the screws and the magazine follower, is richly plated with 24-Karat Gold—as are the buttplate and the buttplate screws.
The stock is deluxe walnut, beautifully finished. The 24" barrel and magazine
are brightly blued to a beautiful “peacock” blue as on the. Firing readily
available .44-40 cartridge ammunition, it has a capacity of 14 rounds. As on
President Lincoln's rifle, this has the sporting-type adjustable rear sight,
mounted in the frame position, and, being an early model, it has no lever latch.
The Registry Numbers are unique to this edition: 001 through 250 with the prefix
“AL” for Abraham Lincoln.
A custom-built, luxuriously lined Display Case with engraved identification
plaque is available. Includes locking glass lid to protect your firearm from
dust and unauthorized handling. Suitable for wall mount or tabletop display.
