Cold War Tribute M1911A1 .45 - Hand Engraved Golden
If you served in the armed forces between 2 September 1945 and 26 December

during this period, you helped bring about Cold War Victory, and the Cold War is
“your” war! This is a shining symbol that represents your past, your presence
and your values, immortalized in steel. And what better symbol than the military
sidearm in longest use during the Cold War – the mighty U.S. M1911A1 .45.
Appropriately, it’s named The Cold War Tribute M1911A1 .45 Limited Edition.
Silver Tribute to the Cold War “One of 500”

polished steel accent surfaces.

dominating the symbol of the Soviet Union, are deeply etched in bas-relief and
in flowing banners, ensconced in scrolls, across the slide.
- The polish, fit and finish are to Museum Quality.
- The grips are custom-made, genuine, beautiful Ebony, checkered in the Double
Diamond pattern.
- To assure immediate collector interest and value, this edition is strictly

Golden Tribute to the Cold War “One of 250”
The Golden Tribute is custom-gunsmithed with these special features:
- The pistol is plated with 24-Karat Gold, to Jewelers Grade-Heavy thickness.
- The side of the slide is mirror polished and deeply etched with the historical
data previously described.
- The most famous quotation of the Cold War — President Reagan’s imperative to
Mr. Gorbachev — “Tear down this wall!” is etched on the lower front slide, which
is also mirror polished.
- The custom grips are genuine Rosewood, checkered in the Double Diamond
pattern.
- Of even greater rarity, this edition is limited to only 250, worldwide.
Hand Engraved Golden Tribute “One of 50”
The ultimate tribute to the Cold War is the Hand Engraved Golden Tribute “One of
50.” This displays all the features of the Golden Tribute, but experienced
gun polishers carefully burnish and polish all surfaces of the steel until they
shine like a mirror. It is also lavishly adorned with high coverage of hand
engraving, by hammer and chisel, across the top and both sides of the slide, on
both sides of the trigger and across the controls, so it is a truly stunning,
Exhibition Grade firearm.
Special: Personalized to Your Service Branch
The left rear side of the slide is etched “U.S.A.,” and both grips are inlaid
with a fired-enamel cloisonné finished en suite with 24-Karat Gold plating.
- The right-rear can be etched with the initials of your family’s Service
Branch. When you select this, the grip inlays will also be that of the Service
Branch selected.
- If, instead of “U.S.A.,” you would prefer “U.S.M.C.,” “U.S.N.,” or “U.S.A.F.”
etched on the slide, we will do so.
- With that, the inset in the grips will be the symbol of that service branch.
- This is available regardless of edition selected.
