With so many of our Members being in active duty, retired or prior-service military men, and with our great respect for our armed forces, we are always partial to projects that honor this noble profession of arms. And, one project that has been requested of us is a practical and a beautiful way to achieve this. It showcases a military firearm which is quite handy and collectible, especially considering it’s a Colt firearm—and all specimens are more than 50 years old, some almost 100 years old! The Colt .25 Auto Model 1908 is definitely a military veteran, itself, to all services. During its military days, including World War II, shipments were made to the Army (which included the Army Air Forces), and the Navy (which included the Marines). Of course, the OSS (forerunner of the CIA) issued a number of these pistols to their clandestine operatives, and units such as the C.I.C (Counter Intelligence Corps) and G-2 (Intelligence) sections prized the Colt .25 pistol for it’s easy concealability and “hammerless” design.

The Armed Forces Golden and Silver Tributes—each hand-engraved Colt .25 Auto Model 1908 is available in all four versions, one for each service branch and your choice of 24-Karat Gold Plated or Deluxe Hard Nickel Plated (“Silver”) tributes. These are:

Each has different embellishments and Registry Number prefixes appropriate to the individual service branch.

Museum Quality Craftsmanship

Each pistol is custom engraved and decorated to Museum Quality. Both the Golden Tribute and the Silver Tribute are beautifully polished to a mirror finish—only possible by experienced gun polishers. Each is hand engraved with the name of the service branch honored, across the left side of the slide, ensconced in a wreath of military oakleaves. All the engraving is by hand, using the proper, traditional hammer-and-chisel method, on both sides of the slide, frame and triggerguard.

The Golden Tribute—"One of 100"

This firearm is lavishly embellished with full coverage of hand engraving on both sides of the slide, frame, trigger and triggerguard.
The engraving includes the traditional acorn-and-oakleaf pattern that characterizes important military presentation firearms.
The custom, arch-top grips are genuine Ivory, hand-fitted.
The left grip bears a solid 24-Karat Gold inlay, hand engraved with the symbol of the service branch honored.
In addition, the Golden Tribute is completely plated with 24-Karat Gold, to make it a particularly distinctive showpiece.
All of the 24-Karat plating is to Jewelers Grade-Heavy thickness, for lasting beauty and value.

Because of its small size, its high coverage of exquisite engraving and 24-Karat Gold plating, the beautiful Ivory grips, and the solid 24-Karat Gold inlay, this Colt pistol has a "Faberge Jewels" quality to it!

The Silver Tribute —"One of 500"

For veterans and collectors who prefer a beautiful and rugged finish, we bring you the Silver Tribute Pistol, with these special, custom-gunsmithed features:

Each Silver Tribute is mirror polished and mirror plated with beautiful, but tough, Hard Nickel plating.
The name of the service branch, ensconced in a wreath of military oakleaves is hand engraved across the slide. Additional hand engraving accents both sides of the slide, frame and triggerguard.
The Ebony grips are polished to a deluxe finish, carrying a luster to rival any veteran’s "spit shine".
The left grip is fitted with a solid Sterling Silver inlay, hand engraved with the symbol of the service branch honored.
The Silver Tribute is strictly limited to only 500 per service branch.

A Firing Tribute

Each is a practical and beautiful "carry" piece, while being a highly collectible precision original Colt pistol! Each Golden and Silver Tribute fires, with a 6-round magazine. Considering the millions of Americans who serve, or have served, in the armed forces, and who look back on their military careers and those days of their youth with pride, these unusual, practical and collectible Golden and Silver Tributes are expected to become highly sought after.

Display Case

Also available is a custom made, luxuriously lined Display Case with locking glass lid and engraved identification plaque to display and protect your Tribute from dust and unauthorized handling.

Each pistol is numbered and registered within the limited edition of 100, and is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity. Thirty-day return privilege.

Please charge my credit card a deposit of $195 per Tribute. I will pay the balance prior to delivery at the rate of $140 per month, with no interest or carrying charge.
