The proud story of America's Armed Forces is told, in part, by the weaponry with which we have closed with the enemy. And from prior to Operation Just Cause and Desert Storm, to Operation Enduring Freedom the official U.S. military-issued sidearm, since 1985, has been the Beretta M9 pistol.

An Important Collector “First”

With this in mind, The American Historical Foundation is proud to announce the world's first Beretta M9 Limited Edition pistols to specifically honor each branch of our armed forces: Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and Coast Guard—each with its own M9 pistol.

24-Karat Gold, Steel and Rosewood

Each firing, Limited Edition pistol is individually custom gunsmithed with many special features, including:

The mirror polished slide and barrel memorialize the name, motto and scrollwork distinctive to the service branch honored, and are deeply etched and selectively plated with 24-Karat Gold.
Ten 24-Karat Gold plated components further distinguish this unusual piece: the hammer, trigger, magazine release, safety decocking lever, takedown lever, slide stop, and four grip screws.
For lasting beauty and value, all the 24-Karat Gold plating is to Jewelers Grade-Heavy thickness.
The custom Rosewood grips are finished to deluxe high gloss and inset on both sides with a fired enamel cloisonné depicting the symbol of the military branch honored.
This tribute even includes a military-style lanyard with 24-Karat Gold plated fastener and keepers.

All parts are interchangeable with military-issued M9s. Because this M9 fires readily available 9mm ammunition, it could be called upon, if necessary, to defend your home, family or, of course, nation.

Strictly Limited Edition

Each service branch edition is limited to only 1,985 individually-numbered, Museum-Quality M9 Pistols, worldwide, in honor of the year the M9 was adopted for U.S. military use. Each is engraved with a special Registry Number between 0001 and 1985 with a prefix of the service branch initials (i.e., “USMC0001”). A solid brass personalization plaque which can be engraved with up to 60 characters (30 per line) in two lines for your name, service number, unit, etc.. You can mount it on the optional case or display it with your pistol separately. If you or a family member serves, or served in the armed forces, this is a symbol of your past and your presence . . . immortalized in steel. If you are a serious collector of military firearms, this can be displayed in a position of honor. These are the first of their kind and the edition is strictly limited.

Also available is a custom made, luxuriously lined Display Case with locking glass lid and engraved identification plaque to display and protect your Tribute from dust and unauthorized handling.

Each pistol is numbered and registered within the limited edition of 1985, and is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity. Thirty-day return privilege.
