U.S Marine Corps .45

The combat pistol of the “Old Corps”. . . today, a firing tribute to all Marines!

Thousands of heroic tales of valor immortalize the famous .45...and from the frontlines of four major American wars to the holsters of Marines back home, the M1911A1 was the most-powerful military sidearm ever issued—and a living embodiment of the Marine Corps motto, “Semper Fidelis”. This proud workhorse was retired after a world military record breaking 75 years of stalwart service due logistics; our NATO allies didn’t have the more-powerful .45 ACP ammunition. If you were born between the late 1880’s and 1968, it is the symbol of your time, your day, your age. And future Americans will look back on our time, with reverence, as the “.45 Era”. How much longer will the M1911A1 .45 be made? No one knows. But while it is, we’re proud to salute Marines of the “.45 Era”, as well as Leathernecks of today, by issuing a firing, custom-gunsmithed commemorative M1911A1 .45 in honor of the U.S. Marine Corps.

24-Karat Gold Plating

“Old Slabsides” is not dead and gone—it is forever memorialized in the 24-Karat Gold and polished and blued ordnance steel of the U.S. Marine Corps .45. The slide proudly proclaims in 24-Karat Gold plating and deep bas relief etching: “U.S. Marine Corps”, the motto, “Semper Fidelis”, and the Corps’ founding date. Six deeply-etched stars flank the left side of this powerhouse, in remembrance of the six Marine Divisions, the peak of the Corps’ strength in World War II. Rich plating of 24-Karat Gold covers the trigger, hammer, slide stop, etched slide panoply, magazine catch, magazine catch screw, safety, four grips screws, lanyard mount and two lanyard keepers, making this museum-quality firearm like no other ever made. All plating is to Jewelers Grade-Heavy thickness, for lasting beauty and value. Even the grips are custom—select Rosewood, deluxe finished and inset with a custom Eagle, Globe and Anchor symbol cloisonné in both grips. Each pistol is also fitted with a rare and desirable military lanyard in Marine Corps Scarlet, with 24-Karat Gold plated mounts.

Limited Edition; Fires .45 ACP

This is a strictly limited edition of only 1,911 pistols, in remembrance of the year this legend was adopted by U.S. Military forces This highly-restricted limit is your immediate guarantee of rarity and collector value. Even the engraved Limited Edition registry numbers are special: USMC0001 through USMC1911. The reverse of the slide is polished and reserved for personal engraving. We can engrave name, rank, service number or other personal/military information in honor of your service in the Corps or that of a family member. Each .45 was designed by the gunsmiths of Thompson/Auto Ordnance, the company founded by General John T. Thompson, who helped develop the .45 auto-loading cartridge and who invented the Thompson Submachine Gun. NRA test firings of their .45 shows accuracy “significantly better than the average as-issued M1911.” All parts are interchangeable with standard, USMC-issued .45s. And because it fires readily-available .45 ACP ammunition, it could be used in defense of your home, family or, of course, nation. Three other .45s, honoring the U.S. Navy, U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force are also available, for your family or friends who serve/or have served in these other branches. Your ownership and display of this museum-quality firearm today—and as a family heirloom tomorrow—shows to all you’re proud of your U.S. Marine Corps heritage.
